Juliana da Silva Quartet – A Musical Journey to Brazil

On 7 November 2026, Villa Leistikow welcomes you to an evening of Brazilian music and culinary discovery.

Singer Juliana da Silva and her quartet take you on a musical journey – sometimes spirited and infectious, sometimes tender and full of longing.

“It’s everything: expression, feeling, processing emotions,” says Juliana about her music. Her expressive voice creates an intimacy that needs no translation. Sung in Portuguese, her songs carry stories and emotions that reach across language barriers. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung described her performances as “a musical sensuality that engages the whole body.”

Joining her are Yaniel Matos on piano, André de Cayres on bass and Pablo Sáez on drums. Together, they shape a rich musical conversation in which virtuosic solos give way to sensitive interplay, flowing bass lines and lively rhythms make room for quieter moments. The intimate setting of this house concert brings you close to every exchange.

To complement the journey, chef Boris Leistikow serves a menu specially designed to accompany the music – bringing the flavours of the evening to the table as part of “Jazz für Ohr und Gaumen,” our celebration of jazz for the ears and the palate.
