Stella TONON & The Schinkel Experience
Canzone Meets Rock & Neofolk
– Southern Passion meets Cologne Soul –
Mediterranean fire meets Rhineland charm: Cologne-based singer and guitarist Stella Tonon, born in the “northernmost city of Italy,” presents her striking debut album “MEZZANOTTE.” It’s a powerful blend of Rock, Neo-Folk, Jazz, and Blues, woven with her Italian-Portuguese roots and a deep love for storytelling.
At its heart lie the timeless Italian Canzoni of the 1940s–1960s, reimagined with modern artistry. Together with her outstanding band, Tonon fuses these classics with original songs, creating a unique, vibrant sound that moves between Tom Waits, Paolo Conte, The Doors, and Italo-Folk – raw, emotional, and cinematic.
🍝 Culinary highlight by Boris Leistikow:
Chef Boris Leistikow will present his most delicious creations from the Italian kitchen – refined, heartfelt, and full of authentic flavor.
What to expect:
An atmospheric evening full of poetic songs, hypnotic rhythms, and a voice that lingers long after the last note fades.
Line-up:
Stella Tonon – vocals, acoustic guitar
Marcus Schinkel – piano, synthesizer, melodica
Joost Zoeteman – electric & acoustic guitar, bass
Wim de Vries – drums, percussion
Limited seats, we ask for a reservation.

“Living is easy, mostly” – Over The Border Festival at Villa Leistikow
An evening full of musical colors and culinary nuances awaits the guests of Villa Leistikow:
Three internationally acclaimed musicians from the European jazz and world music scene come together in an extraordinary trio – united by virtuosity, depth, and joy of playing.
Mulo Francel (saxophone, clarinet) – a charismatic sound poet, defining member of *Quadro Nuevo* and two-time Echo Jazz Award winner.
Paulo Morello (guitar) – a celebrated guitarist and border-crosser between bossa nova, jazz, and world music, known for collaborations with Larry Coryell, Pat Martino, and Philip Catherine.
Sven Faller (double bass) – one of Germany’s most sought-after bassists, musical partner of Konstantin Wecker and August Zirner.
Their joint program “Living is easy, mostly” is a musical journey full of lightness and depth – a dialogue between Brazilian bossa, Mediterranean warmth, and transatlantic jazz. The album of the same name has been praised by the music press as a masterpiece of chamber-jazz elegance.
As always in the series “Jazz für Ohr & Gaumen” (Jazz for Ear & Palate), music merges with cuisine: Chef Boris Leistikow composes a menu that translates the evening’s musical spirit onto the plate – delicately tuned flavors inspired by sun, sea, and rhythm.
A feast for all senses – intimate, vibrant, and unforgettable.
Limited seats, we ask for a reservation.
